Frequently asked questions
What makes Astroglide unique?
Astroglide’s trade secret formula is soothing, moisturizing and long lasting. Our personal lube provides the highest level of slipperiness and retains its lubricating property for hours without irritating the skin or leaving residue. It doesn’t develop a rough, gritty feeling or become sticky. No other personal lubricant provides the same level of comfort, ease of use and natural feel.
Why use a personal lubricant?
There are many benefits to using a personal lubricant, from making sex more comfortable to making condoms safer to adding fun flavors to your sex life. Whether you’re experiencing vaginal dryness, looking for the male g-spot, or just wanting to heat things up Astroglide has the personal lube for you.
Where can I purchase Astroglide personal lube?
Purchase Astroglide wherever the slickest, longest lasting, most satisfying personal lubricants are sold. You can find Astroglide at most grocery stores, drugstores, mass retailers, and our online store.
Is Astroglide safe to use with condoms?
Whether you choose a water-based or silicone lube, most Astroglide personal lubricants are latex safe (check product packaging for more info). Petroleum-based products like Vaseline, baby oil, or mineral oil can break down the latex in condoms, increasing the risk of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. In addition, moisture creams and lotions can interfere with vaginal pH levels and cause irritation or yeast infections.
Can Astroglide cause irritation?
Astroglide does not contain fragrances, colorings or other ingredients that are common irritants. However, any topical product can cause irritation. If you feel that you may be sensitive to one of the ingredients, test the personal lubricant on a small patch of skin. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. Many people who are prone to skin irritation prefer allergy-tested and dermatologist-reviewed Astroglide Ultra Gentle Gel or a natural lube such as Astroglide Organix.
Can Astroglide be used with a spermicidal lubricant?
Like any personal lubricant, Astroglide can dilute the effectiveness of spermicidal products. It is best not to use a personal lubricant when using a spermicidal product, like jellies or sponges. Astroglide is safe to use with condoms, provided they are not coated with spermicidal lubricant.
Who needs Astroglide personal lubricant?
Anyone who wants to take their sex life up a notch! Let’s face it, when it comes to sex, wetter is better. Astroglide allows couples to ramp up their pleasure, and our latex-safe water-based lubes and silicone lubes make condom use safer and more pleasant.
